Job Title: Yard Truck Switcher / Driver (Class A CDL) Pay: $32.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Location: In Person Position Overview W8 Transport is an export shipping company with 5 U.S. offices and 8 international offices, specializing primarily in used and salvage vehicle exports via sea containers. W8 Transport is seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Truck Switcher / Driver to assist with moving containers within the yard, between sublots, and to local ports when needed. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced yard and port environment. We value professionalism, safety, and dependable service. This role is primarily yard-based, with occasional port trips as required. Job Responsibilities Move containers within the yard and between sublots Transport containers to and from local ports when needed Handle and manage required shipping and port documentation Maintain safety compliance at all times Coordinate efficiently with dispatch and yard staff Job Requirements Valid Class A CDL (Required) Valid TWIC Card (Required) Manual transmission experience only Minimum 24 months CDL driving experience 60 months commercial driving experience preferred No DUI or major driving violations Port experience required Qualifications & Skills Strong focus on safety and accountability Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines Good coordination and situational awareness Quick learner with a go-getter attitude Clear communication skills What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $32.00/hour Home daily Paid bi-weekly Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) Paid holidays and paid time off No-touch freight Year-round work Experience Preferred CDL Driving: 24 months (Required) Commercial Driving: 60 months (Preferred) Port Driving: 1 year Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Vision insurance Work Location: In person
