• Safely operate switching equipment, tractors, and straight trucks to move products and equipment.
• Perform trailer loading and unloading activities while handling materials correctly.
• Plan transportation sequences and schedules to maintain efficient operations.
• Work closely with warehouse and yard personnel to support coordinated workflow.
• Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections before and after trips and report safety or maintenance concerns.
• Follow all company procedures and required safety regulations during transportation activities.
Required Skills and Experience of Yard Spotter:
• Valid driver’s license with necessary endorsements for vehicle operation.
• Experience operating tractors, straight trucks, or yard equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of safe equipment operation and transportation procedures.
• Ability to manage responsibilities independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to perform physical activities related to loading, unloading, and vehicle operation.
• Strong awareness of vehicle safety practices.
• Basic ability to identify equipment issues during inspections.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
