Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour ($27.00 per hour + $1.00 per hour shift differential)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:30pm-10:00pm

Yard Spotter 2nd Shift - Position Summary:

at a high-volume warehouse facility located in Commerce, CA. This position will be responsible for the safe movement of loaded and empty trailers throughout the yard and dock areas with the assistance of a powered industrial truck to position trailers for warehouse sorting, merchandise processing, shipment, and storage. The position also provides warehouse support as needed.
Yard Spotter 2nd Shift Responsibilities:
• Safely move and position loaded and empty trailers between the yard, docks, and designated areas using a powered industrial truck.
• Spot trailers accurately to support warehouse sorting, merchandise processing, loading, unloading, shipment, and storage operations.
• Operate sit-down forklift with the warehosue
• Inspect inbound and outbound shipments and trailers for accuracy and visible damage and report issues as needed.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment. Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away, and load functions are required.
• Maintain complete and legible records and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Assist with physical inventories, material handling, and other warehouse duties as needed to support daily operations.
• Maintain a safe and organized yard and work environment while following all safety procedures and operating requirements.
Yard Spotter 2nd Shift Requirements:
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Current forklift certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Yard Spotter, Yard Jockey, or in a similar experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security is maintained
• Ability to perform basic math
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must maintain a good driving record
• Must complete a forklift training program and pass the required test
• Must be willing and able to work extended hours and weekends if neededYard
Spotter 2nd Shift Additional Requirements:
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds without restriction
• Ability to safely operate a powered industrial truck and position the body to drive backward for extended periods while maintaining awareness of surroundings.
• Must be dependable, follow instructions, maintain accurate records, and work effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Must prioritize safety to help prevent injury to coworkers, visitors, and others in the work area.
