Yard Shunt Driver — $19/hr Part-Time

Our company is looking for a part-time Yard Shunt Driver (also called Yard Driver or Shunter) to move trailers around its Concord, ON facility. You'll work Tuesday to Saturday, starting around 2:00 AM, with shifts running 3-5 hours and some flexibility needed on start and finish times.
Pay
- $19/hr, with automatic increases under the existing union collective agreement

s of approximately $40 and a one-time $50 union initiation fee deducted after 90 working days
What you'll do
- Reposition company trailers within the yard, including 28' and 53' trailers, using dollies and reverse maneuvers
- Follow established safety and defensive driving practices
- Be ready to lift or push up to 75 pounds and occasionally work extra weekend shifts
Requirements
- Valid Ontario G2 or G driver's license
- Clean driving record: no violations in the past 12 months, no more than 2 in the past 3 years, no accidents, and no more than 5 demerit points in the past 3 years
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, physically demanding role with possible extended hours
- An Ontario AZ license or tractor-trailer experience is a plus but not required

Working conditions
