Yard Mule Driver / Spotter / Jockey

About the Role We are seeking a highly dependable and experienced Yard Mule Operator to join our San Antonio logistics team. In this role, you will be the driving force that keeps our commercial yard operations running efficiently. We need a safety-first professional who shows up on time, knows how to handle heavy equipment, and can precisely maneuver 53-foot trailers in a fast-paced environment. Core Responsibilities Yard Navigation & Spotting: Safely operate a yard mule/spotter truck to shuttle, position, and organize 53' trailers across the facility. Equipment Inspections: Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all vehicles and yard equipment, promptly reporting any maintenance needs. Team Coordination: Maintain a seamless flow of operations by communicating clearly with dispatch, warehouse teams, and supervisors. Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols, speed limits, and operational guidelines at all times. Required Qualifications Proven Experience: Verifiable prior experience operating yard trucks, hostlers, or similar heavy commercial equipment is required. Rock-Solid Dependability: This is a crucial operational role. We need someone who is consistently punctual, reliable, and committed to getting the job done right. Clean Driving Record: A valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is mandatory. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a strong plus. Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment background check. Attention to Detail: Ability to follow exact instructions, maneuver large trailers in tight spaces safely, and stay alert throughout the shift.
