In the manufacturing & logistics industry, the smooth transition of materials is the heartbeat of daily operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that this operational heartbeat remains strong, consistent, and highly efficient. Your primary working environment will be dynamically split between an expansive outdoor yard and a bustling indoor warehouse, providing a refreshing variety of scenery and tasks throughout your workday.
This role requires the candidate to have reliable transportation as it is not transit accessible.

Responsibilities
• Operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift safely and effectively for up to 60% of the daily shift.
• Move heavy and large loads, including piping and oversized materials, throughout the outdoor yard and indoor warehouse.
• Utilize an RF scanner for the accurate picking, packing, and tracking of inventory for the remaining 40% of the shift.
• Hand bomb smaller items, which involves manually loading and unloading materials on and off pallets and skids.
• Conduct routine daily safety inspections on the counterbalance forklift prior to starting the shift.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free working environment within the manufacturing & logistics facility.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift in tight and open spaces.
• Strong competency with RF scanning technology and modern warehouse inventory systems.
• Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination for safely maneuvering large, awkward loads like pipes.
• Exceptional time-management abilities to balance driving duties with manual picking and packing tasks.
• High attention to detail to ensure the correct materials are selected, scanned, and dispatched.
• Effective communication skills to work closely with the wider manufacturing & logistics team.
• Reliable transportation required.
