Yard Laborer

Job Summary As a Yard Laborer, you’ll keep materials moving safely and efficiently through the yard and warehouse. You’ll load and unload shipments, organize inventory, and use material handling equipment to support Fab. Shop distribution, shipping, and receiving. This hands-on role suits someone who works carefully, follows safety procedures, and stays active throughout the workday. Responsibilities Load and unload materials, move products, and stage orders for shipment or storage. Pick orders, verify items and update inventory records. Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, clamp trucks, and cranes when trained and authorized. Keep the yard and work areas organized; follow safety protocols and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements. Your impact: Accurate order handling and safe equipment use help the fab shop teams move materials reliably. Skills Essential: Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling, use basic math, and follow safety procedures consistently. Preferred: Fab Shop operations, inventory management, materials handling, order picking, and shipping and receiving. Experience operating heavy equipment and material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, clamp trucks, or cranes, is an asset.
