Yard Laborer

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Yard Laborer and become an essential part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient movement, handling, and organization of materials within our yard and warehouse environment. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will help ensure smooth shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation and warehouse logistics in a fast-paced setting. Duties Assist with loading and unloading trucks using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes Safely load, unload, and move materials around the yard and warehouse area in accordance with safety protocols Support order picking activities by accurately locating and retrieving items using RF scanners and manual handling techniques Maintain organized inventory by stacking pallets, sorting materials, and ensuring proper storage practices Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment and material handling tools to ensure safe operation and compliance with OSHA standards Follow shipping and receiving procedures to verify inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and properly documented Assist warehouse supervisors in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and protocols Qualifications Prior experience in warehouse distribution or similar manual labor roles preferred Knowledge of warehouse operations including order picker, forklift, clamp truck, pallet jack, crane, and heavy equipment operation Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners for order picking and stock control Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following OSHA safety standards Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence Warehouse experience or warehouse supervisor experience is a plus but not required Valid certification for forklift operation or other heavy equipment is advantageous but not mandatory Join us to be part of a vibrant team that values safety, efficiency, and teamwork!
