Yard Jockey / Yard Spotter — Seasonal Night Shift (Contract)

Overview Job description Transportation Savy LLC is hiring a Yard Jockey for a seasonal contract at a distribution facility in Stone Mountain, FL (30087) OR Forest Park 30297. This is a night-shift position starting November 15, 2026 and running through December 19, 2026. The truck stays in the yard — no road driving, no routes, no deliveries. Your job is to keep trailers moving so the facility never waits on a door. What you'll do Move and spot semi trailers between the yard and dock doors using a day cab / yard truck Hook and unhook trailers: connect air lines, raise and lower landing gear, open and secure trailer doors Pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and trailers you move Follow the yard team's directions on trailer placement and priority moves Keep the yard organized and report any equipment or trailer damage right away Follow all site safety rules at all times What you need Experience moving semi trucks and backing 53' trailers (yard jockey, spotter, hostler, or CDL driving experience) Valid driver's license (CDL-A a plus, not required for in-yard work) Must be 21 or older Able to work the full night shift, 18:00 PM – 6:00 AM, OR 15:30-1:30. on scheduled days including weekends, for the entire contract period (Nov 15 – Dec 19) Able to climb in and out of the truck repeatedly and work outdoors in the yard Reliable transportation to the Stone Mountain facility Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening Dependable — this is a short contract and every shift counts This is a seasonal contract position with set dates.
