Commercial Cleaning & StaffingJob Summary We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious yard jockey/ trailer spotter to join our team. This position is responsible for safely moving and positioning 53-foot-semi- trailers throughout a commercial parking lot, warehouse yard, or distribution facility using an electric yard mule (trailer-moving equipment) A commercial driver's license (CDL)is not required for this position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating equipment, maneuvering large trailers in tight spaces, and working independently in a busy industrial environment. Primary Responsibilities Safely operate an electric yard mule to move to 53-foot trailers between designated parking areas, staging locations, and loading docks. Position trailers accurately in assigned parking spaces and loading areas. Connect and disconnect trailers using proper safety procedures. Inspect trailer connections, landing gear, tires, and surrounding areas before moving equipment. Follow designated traffic patterns and facility safety procedures. Communicate with warehouse personnel, supervisors, and other yard operators to coordinate trailer movements. Maintain an organized and safe trailer parking area. Perform basic pre-operation inspections of the electric yard mule. Report equipment problems, trailer damage, and unsafe conditions immediately. Complete other related duties as assigned. Qualifications No CDL required. Valid driver's license preferred or required based on company policy. Previous experience operating a yard mule, yard truck, trailer spotter, or similar equipment is preferred but not required. Experience backing trailers or operating large equipment is a plus. Ability to follow instructions and work safely around large commercial trailers Good communication skills and attention to detail. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Willingness to complete company- provided equipment and safety training. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to climb on and off equipment safely. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform routine equipment inspections, Ability to maintain awareness of pedestrians, vehicles, and other equipment while operating machinery.
