Yard Hand / Material Handler LarRance Steel — Lawton, Oklahoma Full-Time | Pay Based on Experience LarRance Steel is looking for a dependable, organized Yard Hand / Material Handler to join our yard and shop team. This is a hands-on, outdoor, physical position working around heavy structural steel every day. You'll keep material moving safely from incoming trucks to storage, to the shop, and out on loads, alongside our Yard Team Lead and shop team. FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. What You'll Do Safely operate a forklift to move heavy steel around the yard and shop Load and unload trucks and trailers for incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments Sort, label, and place steel by size, type, and job Check incoming material against orders and report shortages or damage right away Stage outgoing material and verify it against the load list before it ships Secure loads correctly and complete loading checklists Keep the yard and storage areas organized so steel can be found quickly Help move material to and from fabrication equipment and paint staging Follow all safety procedures and keep a clean, safe work area Work closely with the Yard Team Lead and the rest of the shop team What We're Looking For Forklift experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work safely around heavy materials and equipment Able to lift, bend, and work outdoors in all weather Reliable, on time, and a good teammate Schedule 8–10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Some overtime and weekends when needed. Preferred Experience Experience in steel, metal, or construction yards, rigging, or material handling is a plus, but not required. Competitive pay based on experience.
