About the Company - Ag Transfer Ag Transfer LLC (“the Company”) operates transload facilities in Charleston as well as in Minnesota and Illinois. Operating a fleet of yard hostlers and other heavy equipment our daily operations process the loading of intermodal shipping containers with grain products bound for export to Asia. Job Description - Yard Driver/Spotter The Yard Driver (Spotter) will operate a yard truck (hostler or yard jockey) to hook/unhook to trailers, position empty containers for grain loading (by conveyor) and unhook the containers in the yard for pick up. Opportunity to train and learn other roles. Yard Drivers will be required to accurately document container numbers and weights, assist with the unloading process of inbound rail cars and hopper trucks, and work closely with team members to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines. Employees will be expected to follow safety policies and procedures at all times. This is a full-time position with full benefits. EARLY START 5:30am, Mon - Fri. Consistent overtime, overtime pay! Job Requirements Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Hostler/yard jockey experience or maneuvering truck/trailers Dependable to arrive on time, early start time 5:30am . Ability to learn to back yard trucks and trailers into position. Enjoy working in a fast-paced outdoor environment, with flexibility for overtime. Adherence to safety policies and procedures of the facility. Options for job growth with a willingness to cross-train on other functions at the facility. Basic data entry skills, using apps for documenting. Good interpersonal communication skills to work as part of a small team. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with drug free workplace policy. Must be able to physically climb up and down transloading equipment and ladders safely. Ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb, and maintain balance throughout the day. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and around dusty conditions. Ability to carry fifty (50) pounds. Compensation & Benefits Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour with related experience. Full-time with consistent overtime, overtime hours paid at $30.00/hour Medical and Dental - eligible after first full month of employment.
