We’re here for it. We think you should be too. Responsible for moving trailers to different dock doors and locations within the Distribution Center yard. A day in the life as a Yard Driver... Operates Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) on non-public roads or in truck yards to move trailers to/from dock and parking locations Maintains the accuracy and integrity of the trailer yard through meticulous attention to detail and daily yard audits Operates a spotter truck, moving trailers between trailer yard and dock doors, and logging all trailer moves to maintain accurate yard inventory Communicates equipment issues with the warehouse management team Moves pallets, wrap skids and unloads and loads trailers as needed Cleans up and disposes boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility and specific product line areas Rotates through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the business Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position Performs all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals.
