Yard Attendant/Counter Sales

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Yard Attendant/Counter Sales associate, where you'll be the friendly face customers rely on for expert advice and exceptional service. In this energetic role, you'll manage outdoor yard operations, assist customers with their purchases, and ensure the proper handling of outdoor equipment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales skills while working outdoors in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on fencing lumber Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions accurately, including cash handling and retail math calculations Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the outdoor yard is clean, safe, and well-maintained Identify different types of fencing supplies to help customers select the right products for their needs Assist with inventory management by receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and maintaining organized storage areas Provide excellent customer service via phone communication or in person to answer questions about product features or availability Support outdoor work activities such as putting away units , organizing the yard , putting next day orders together ,and loading the trucks for the next day. Skills Experience with retail sales environments and familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively Excellent communication skills to engage with customers confidently both in person and over the phone Organizational skills to manage stock levels, merchandising displays, and store cleanliness efficiently Outdoor work experience demonstrating comfort working in various weather conditions Ability to drive a fork lift Ability to lift over 80lbs MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LISCENSE This role is perfect for individuals passionate about outdoor work, and delivering outstanding customer service.
