Overview Join our dynamic team as a National Partner with a leading transportation provider specializing in CDL A tractor-trailer operations across the country. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable company committed to safety, efficiency, and excellence in freight delivery. As a key player in our logistics network, you will operate various types of freight vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, ensuring timely and secure deliveries nationwide. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and adherence to FMCSA regulations will drive success and customer satisfaction on every route. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to DOT and FMCSA regulations. Manage the loading and unloading of freight, including logistics cargo handling for diverse cargo types such as hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and temperature-sensitive items. Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and safety. Transport various freight types including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and automobile transportation with precision and care. Comply with all safety protocols related to hazardous materials regulations and truck loading/unloading procedures. Perform routine vehicle inspections, manual handling tasks, and basic maintenance checks to maintain optimal vehicle performance. Document delivery activities accurately, including load details, delivery confirmations, and compliance with DOT regulations. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and automobile transportation equipment. Strong knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations. Skilled in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning across nationwide OTR routes. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely. Experience with truck loading/unloading processes involving freight handling of various cargo types. Excellent driving skills with a clean safety record; familiarity with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations is essential.
