Overview Wrangler Trucking is seeking skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our team at multiple locations, including Giddings, Gonzales, Cuero, and Gillette. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy trucks, diesel engines, and heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires a strong background in diesel mechanics, engine repair, and heavy vehicle maintenance. The successful applicant will play a vital role in supporting our fleet’s performance and reliability through expert technical skills and a commitment to safety. Duties Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engines to ensure optimal performance. Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and heavy equipment to identify issues proactively. Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities. Follow safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems efficiently. Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained. Stay updated on new technologies and repair techniques related to heavy diesel machinery. Qualifications Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic with a focus on truck repair. Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, heavy truck maintenance, and repair procedures. Ability to diagnose mechanical issues accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques. Familiarity with safety standards related to heavy vehicle repair and maintenance. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various locations including Giddings, Gonzales, Cuero, and Gillette. Valid technical certifications or licenses related to diesel mechanics are preferred but not mandatory.
