POSITION OVERVIEW Tradewinds Global Logistics is seeking a dependable, hands-on Working Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our St. Joseph, Michigan facility. This position combines active warehouse work with employee direction, inventory management, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate can independently coordinate daily activities, operate material-handling equipment, direct a small team, and maintain accurate inventory records. The facility is expected to operate at a relatively low activity level, requiring an organized, self-motivated individual who maintains operational readiness with minimal oversight. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Warehouse Operations Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, and store freight. Work alongside warehouse associates and direct product handling, storage locations, and loading activities. Coordinate truck arrivals, receiving, and outbound shipments; verify quantities and inspect for damage. Inventory Management & Administration Process receipts, shipments, inventory movements, and adjustments accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS). Assign inventory locations, conduct cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies. Prepare and maintain bills of lading, receiving records, and shipping documentation. Employee & Facility Oversight Assign daily tasks and provide hands-on direction to a small warehouse team. Maintain a clean, safe, secure, and organized warehouse; monitor equipment and report maintenance needs. Communicate shipment issues, inventory discrepancies, and operational updates to corporate management. Maintain facility readiness during periods of limited activity. QUALIFICATIONS At least 2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or distribution experience; forklift experience required. WMS, inventory tracking, and data-entry experience strongly preferred. Prior warehouse lead or supervisory experience preferred. Strong organization, attention to detail, basic computer skills, and ability to work independently. Willingness to perform physical warehouse work alongside other employees. IDEAL CANDIDATE A hands-on leader, not a desk-bound manager, who takes ownership of daily operations. Success means accurate inventory, timely shipments, safe product handling, and a facility that runs smoothly with minimal supervision. Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Experience: Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving or Distribution: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
