Winter Vegetable Delivery Driver - Seasonal

We are looking for someone to join our farm crew as a delivery driver for our winter season - October through April, 3 days per week, Tuesday-Thursday. This position would include doing a CSA delivery from the farm to Draught Works Brewery in Missoula on Tuesdays, from the farm to Ten Mile Brewery in Helena on Wednesdays, and delivery to multiple locations in Stevensville and Missoula on Thursdays. Approximate Hours/Location: Tuesdays: 12:30pm-7:30pm w/ 30 minute lunch break Wednesday: 10:30am-7pm w/ 30 minute lunch break Thursday: 2pm-5:30/6pm Extra produce is available in addition to the hourly wage. Hours range from 19-20 per week. Additional farm work/hours may be available depending on the applicant. CSA Delivery on Tuesdays includes: loading the van at farm, unloading the van at the brewery with 2nd staff member, CSA pickup setup/stocking/check-in, packing unpicked up shares and dropping at a 2nd location in Missoula, loading empty crates from this location. Depending on location circumstances, keeping the delivery van for the night and returning to the farm the next day, or returning the van to the farm that night. Wednesdays would include loading the CSA delivery vehicle and departing the farm by 11am. Setting up the CSA shares at the pickup location in Helena with a 2nd staff member. Loading up empty crates from the prior week. Departing the brewery by 4pm. Depending on location circumstances, keeping the delivery van for the night and returning to the farm the next day, or returning the van to the farm that night. Thursdays would include loading the delivery van, dropping off crates and supplies at Blacksmith Brewery in Stevensville, continuing on to Missoula to two different pickup sites. At each site the CSA crates for this week will be unloaded, and the crates from the prior week will be loaded into the van. On certain days this route will include pickup of online store inventory from a couple locations in Missoula. This is a seasonal position ending on Thursday April 22nd. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn and work efficiently. We strongly value good communication skills. We are looking for someone willing to sign an agreement to commit to the entire CSA season. We are looking for someone comfortable with winter driving conditions, with a clean driving record, and a valid driver's license. We do take off the week of Christmas, Dec. 21-25, and the first two weeks in February, Feb 1-12. Though the weeks in February will include hours at the farm for our annual review process. Prior experience working on farms is not required, but past experience working on farms, doing deliveries, and winter driving experience are a plus. Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly. The skill we value most is communication. We need someone who is comfortable asking questions, communicating their needs, and providing feedback and observations about the work. This position requires driving in winter weather conditions. Waterproof footwear such as muck boots is recommended, closed-toe shoes are required.
