The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine and providing exceptional customer service in a retail sales environment. This role is responsible for day-to-day operations in the wine department, focusing on wine sales, inventory management, tastings, and fulfillment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance in selecting wines based on their preferences and needs Recommending and selling wines to customers in store Demonstrate product features through wine product sampling Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, stock shelves, and manage inventory levels effectively Restocking, merchandising and monitoring inventory level Organizing inventory for in store and daily deliveries to clients Stocking inventory of grocery Assisting will additional tasks as needed Upsell complementary products such as paired food items or vice versa Qualifications Smart serve certification Previous experience in retail sales or hospitality Strong communication skills with the ability to educate customers about wine varieties and pairings Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing POS systems Excellent organizational skills to maintain merchandising standards and stock levels Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods Knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service best practices to engage clients professionally both in person and over the phone Embark on a rewarding journey where your enthusiasm for wine meets your talent for sales!
