As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on Window & Door Plant Manager to oversee daily plant operations, production planning, personnel management, quality control, cost management, and order fulfillment. Job Responsibilities Oversee all window and door manufacturing activities and daily plant operations, ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient production environment. Manage the daily work of production employees, team leaders, and other plant personnel. Schedule production based on order volume, plant capacity, staffing, materials, and equipment availability. Review confirmed sales orders and converted customer requirements into accurate production plans. Track orders throughout the entire process, from production and quality inspection to packaging and delivery. Ensure that vinyl windows and doors, sliding patio doors, screens, double-pane glass, Low-E glass, tempered glass, locks, grids, and related components meet company quality standards. Establish and implement quality-control procedures to reduce production errors, rework, material waste, warranty claims, and customer complaints. Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate employees, and take corrective action when necessary. Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback and training. Identify equipment, material, staffing, and production issues before they affect customer orders. Control labor costs, material waste, overtime, and other production expenses while maintaining product quality and meeting delivery deadlines. Investigate and resolve production errors, damaged products, order discrepancies, delivery delays, and warranty-related issues. Establish and maintain plant operating procedures, production standards, quality records, and safety documentation. Perform other plant operations duties as assigned by company management. Qualifications Education or training in manufacturing, engineering, operations, business management, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with extensive relevant experience may be considered regardless of educational background. Previous experience as a Plant Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or in a similar management role is preferred. Window and door manufacturing experience is preferred. Experience managing production employees, manufacturing equipment, maintenance, inventory, and quality control. Knowledge of vinyl windows and doors, sliding patio doors, screens, double-pane glass, Low-E glass, tempered glass, and window and door hardware. Familiarity with Retrofit, Nail-On, and Block Frame window configurations. Ability to understand window measurements, production orders, window styles and configurations, product specifications, and bills of materials. Experience with production scheduling, workflow planning, purchasing, inventory management, and cost control. Strong leadership, personnel management, communication, training, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate professionally in English, Spanish, and/or Mandarin is preferred.
