White Glove Furniture Delivery & Installation Associate / Warehouse

Ambiente Modern Furniture is a third-generation, family-owned contemporary furniture store in Raleigh. We've been delivering high-end furniture into clients' homes since 1984, and we're hiring a White Glove Installer / Warehouse Associate to join one of our two delivery crews. You'll work side by side with a crew Lead on every delivery and installation, and with our Furniture Operations Supervisor in the warehouse. Nearly everything in this job is a two-person task, so you'll be hands-on from day one: receiving, inspecting, assembling, loading, delivering, and installing furniture to our white glove standard. We'll train you on our standards and systems. What you'll do Help assemble, prepare, and inspect each piece in the warehouse and again before loading. Help load the truck strategically and secure the load. Unload and place each piece as directed by the Lead, protecting both the furniture and the client's home. Assemble and install to spec, confirm everything works and looks right, remove all packaging, and leave the site clean. Help photograph every piece in its final position and report any damage immediately. Be courteous and professional with clients; refer placement changes, damage, or extra requests to the Lead. Receive incoming freight, inspect for damage, repack, put away, and stage orders for upcoming deliveries. Keep the warehouse clean and organized and help process returns. Share driving of our 16–20 ft box trucks, complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections, and follow all DOT and FMCSA rules. What we're looking for 1–2 years of experience in furniture delivery, moving, warehouse operations, or installation. Furniture assembly experience and comfort with hand and power tools. Able to follow assembly instructions and diagrams. White glove or high-value product experience is a plus, not a requirement. Courteous and professional with clients; communicates clearly in English, written and spoken. Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and adaptable when the day's plan changes. Positive, team-first attitude and a safety-first mindset. Able to learn our warehouse management system and basic computer applications quickly. High school diploma or GED. Driving requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (verified before hire) and the ability to meet our commercial auto insurer's driver requirements. Ability to safely operate a 16–20 ft box truck, or to demonstrate that ability within 30 days of hire. A CDL is not required. Ability to obtain and keep a DOT medical card if required. Offers are contingent on a background check. Physical demands This is a physically demanding job. Expect frequent team lifting of items over 100 lbs, carrying up to 50 lbs unassisted (including on stairs), and constant walking, standing, squatting, climbing, bending, and reaching, often in tight spaces and on uneven surfaces. You'll use hand trucks, pallet jacks, and similar equipment regularly. Warehouse and job-site conditions can be hot, cold, or damp. Where and when You'll work out of our warehouse at 120 Dominion Drive, Morrisville, NC and at client locations, mostly homes, with some offices and the occasional construction site. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. Occasional weekend work and longer days happen based on delivery volume and client scheduling. You'll typically work with the same Lead as a consistent pair.
