Wheelchair Non-Emergency Transportation Driver

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Wheelchair drivers T and T America LLC in Tulsa, OK, is hiring Wheelchair van drivers for its Tulsa, Oklahoma location to transport Medicaid members to and from their medical appointments and other events. Job Responsibilities Assists and transports passengers requiring wheelchair assistance to/from doctors' offices, clinics, and hospitals. Transport members safely, assist them door-to-door, and load & unload both members and belongings Follow the schedule, GPS, and other company apps, and regularly report to dispatch. Maintain vehicle interior and exterior and arranged for vehicle services Complete all required docs and maintenance records clearly and accurately. Participate in training and educational opportunities Show up to work promptly. Take work orders from the supervisor for client trips. Drive clients to their destinations on time Assist clients as they get into and out of the vehicle. Report traffic delays en route back to the supervisor Report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor/ dispatch Operate wheelchair lifts as needed Adhere to company policies and protocol Qualifications and Education Requirements: MUST BE 26+ years of age must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring, and convenient manner. Must have a clean driving record. Must have a great work history and be a reliable, responsible individual (must provide references from the previous employer (s). Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR Certification. Must not have a Medical Marijuana card or must pass a drug test. Drivers must have or be willing to do Defensive Driving. Drivers must Know how to keep a level head in a busy environment. Prefered Medical drivers must be passionate about helping people. Must have excellent communication skills. Good working knowledge of the Tulsa metro Area is a plus but not required (we will train and certify you if needed) Safety and security-minded, able to read and use GPS & other apps Reliable, energetic, customer service/team oriented, excellent communicator Able to lift (up to 70 lbs), or carry, push, and pull people in wheelchairs Must have a suitable and secure parking area for the company vehicle. Minimum requirement Pass Federal Criminal Background Check (NO FELONY CONV. PAST 10 Yrs!) Less than two moving violations on driver's record within the last five years No more than one accident on the driver's history within the previous five years Pass initial Drug Test, be willing/able to submit to random drug testing Additional Notes: The candidate for this position will be a great communicator, enthusiastic about the opportunity, and have experience in customer service.
