Work environment The Agency has adopted a common hybrid work model that aligns with the Federal Public Sector. Intent of the process This process will be used to staff emergency terms only, i.e. the temporary appointment of a person to support an emergency response. Emergency terms must meet the minimum requirements of the position, i.e. required levels of education/occupational certification, official languages, security and other conditions of employment. Individuals who have been appointed to the CFIA as an emergency term are not eligible to be a rehired term and any subsequent non-emergency appointment must be made in the context of another type of staffing action.
