Friday-Monday 7:00AM-6:00PM Competitive salary rate plus incentive PTO 401K with a company match Health, dental, vision benefits Summary The Fleet Maintenance Advisor is responsible for the coordination of maintenance & service needs, for ATS fleet equipment (tractors and trailers) by coordinating emergency assistance and scheduling routine maintenance in a call center environment. They will work to ensure the fleet is always in good working condition. The Fleet Maintenance Advisor will support drivers in after-hours Operations, Customer Service, Claims, and Safety in a deadline-driven, fast-paced, ever-changing dynamic work environment. Education and Experience 1. 2-4 years of experience in a customer-driven environment and/or 2 or 4-year degree in a related field 2. Experience in the transportation industry is preferred but not required. 3. Knowledge of Department of Transportation laws is preferred but not required. 4. Ability to read and understand a map. 5. Understanding of labor and warranty policies is preferred. 6. Ability to negotiate costs skillfully in challenging situations with both internal and external customers. 7. Experience in developing strong relationships (personal/practical needs) to effectively manage, plan, and prioritize workload for a fleet. 8. Must be proficient in responding to internal and external customer situations, responding to customer needs as required. 9. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment. 10. Strong planning and problem-solving skills; able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. 11. Able to gather and analyze information and develop alternative solutions. 12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required. 13. Excellent communication skills (written, listening, and verbal). 14. Willing and able to travel infrequently, including overnight travel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Receive incoming calls from ATS drivers related to breakdown, preventative maintenance, and after-hours dispatching needs in a call center environment. 2. Maintain a call service standard answering incoming calls within 30 seconds >=70% of the time. 3. Collaborate with Operations and vendors to minimize truck and trailer downtime. 4. Partner with Operations to schedule preventive maintenance appointments within required intervals. 5. Partner with Operations to ensure the fleet is DOT compliant, inspections are current, and all roadside violations are taken care of. 6. Manage the repair process from intake of call thru repair completion by: a) Working with the vendor to manage downtime, ensuring timely diagnosis and repair. b) Review and approve estimates, manage costs, and ensure the applicable warranty is applied. 7. Request and follow up on outstanding invoicing with vendors and close out work orders. 8. Manage paper in the process by closing all completed work orders within 45 days. 9. Receive incoming Extended Team Coverage calls from ATS Drivers and Customers. 10. Support the balancing and managing of the driver’s professional and personal needs: DRI support and financial satisfaction (advance requests), etc. while meeting ATS expectations. 11. Communicate with customers and internal ATS personnel to ensure service levels are met. 12. Proactively manage driver ETAs and PTAs, answering questions, and resolving problems. 13.
