Weekend Event Logistics Crew – Event Drop-Off & Pick-Up Company: Elegant Lollies Event Styling Location: Woodbridge, VA | Travel throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland Job Type: Part-Time | On-Call | Primarily Weekends Pay: $25–$30 per hour, with guaranteed minimum compensation of $85–$150+ per person, per scheduled visit, depending on position and assignment requirements. About Elegant Lollies Elegant Lollies is a family-owned luxury event styling and decor company based in Woodbridge, Virginia. We specialize in weddings, birthdays, baby showers, corporate events, and other special celebrations throughout the DMV area. We are currently seeking reliable, hardworking, experienced, and professional individuals to join our growing event logistics team. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in moving, furniture delivery, warehouse operations, or event production who are looking for recurring weekend opportunities and additional income. Please note: This is a physically demanding event logistics position focused on loading, unloading, and transporting event equipment. This is NOT an event decorating or styling position. Job Responsibilities Event Drop-Off / Load-In Arrive at assigned event venues at the scheduled time to unload event equipment from our U-Haul or box trucks. Safely transport all equipment from the truck to the designated event setup location. Handle large backdrops, furniture, pedestals, carts, shelving, and other event decor inventory. Navigate stairs, elevators, loading docks, long hallways, backyards, and extended walking distances. Event Pick-Up / Load-Out Return to event venues at scheduled breakdown times to reload all event equipment into the truck. Carefully organize, protect, and secure equipment to prevent damage during transportation. Ensure all assigned inventory is accounted for and properly loaded before departing. Event pick-ups may occur late at night, early in the morning, or on a different day from the initial drop-off. Warehouse Loading & Unloading Some assignments may require reporting directly to our warehouse in Woodbridge, VA. Assist with loading trucks before events and unloading inventory when equipment returns. Follow company procedures for handling, organizing, and protecting event equipment. General Responsibilities Work efficiently and safely as part of a two-person crew. Be capable of completing all assigned loading and unloading tasks without requiring assistance from our decorating team. Properly handle large, heavy, oversized, and fragile equipment using appropriate moving tools and team-lifting techniques. Follow inventory checklists and equipment-handling instructions. Communicate professionally with management and venue staff. Arrive punctually and be ready to begin work at the scheduled time. Maintain a professional attitude and take responsibility for completing assigned tasks safely and thoroughly. Qualifications & Requirements Reliable personal transportation is REQUIRED. Applicants must be able to travel independently to our Woodbridge warehouse or directly to event venues throughout the DMV. Previous experience in professional moving, furniture delivery, warehouse logistics, or event production is strongly preferred. Must be comfortable with physically demanding work and safely handling large and heavy equipment. Must be able to safely move oversized items with another crew member and appropriate equipment. Comfortable working in locations with stairs, long walking distances, and challenging venue access. Strong punctuality, reliability, accountability, and communication skills. Ability to follow directions and work independently as part of a team. Careful and respectful handling of expensive event equipment. Must have flexible weekend availability, including some early mornings, late evenings, and Sundays.
