Weekend Dispatcher

Job Description A growing transportation company based in Winter Haven, Florida has an immediate Part-Time opening for a Weekend Dispatcher. Hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. About the Role: Weekend dispatcher needed to monitor active loads, communicate with carriers and customers, and keep freight moving, this is a track and trace position. Duties and Responsibilities: Track loads and provide timely updates. Communicate with carriers and customers on status, delays, and any issues. Handle check calls and basic problem-solving. Keep accurate notes in TMS Escalate concerns when needed and follow through until resolved. Requirements Required Skills/Knowledge: Dispatchers need to have strong communication skills by phone and e-mail; they must give instructions clearly so that they are understood by the drivers. Demonstrate high initiative and self-sufficiency-able to work independently with minimal oversight. Keep acurate notes in TMS. Be comfortable with load tracking tools and basic TMS systems. Must be organized and detail oriented. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
