Weekend CDL-A Driver

Welcome to Alex D. Delivery! We are a small, but rapidly growing logistics company here in Salt Lake City, Utah. We currently have one dedicated weekend position for a Class A CDL driver. This position requires (3) overnight regional turn-arounds; Friday-Monday. Shift 1 (Overnight): Friday (Colorado), 12:00AM - 12:00PM| Flat Rate $400.00/day Shift 2 (Overnight): Saturday (Boise); 12:00AM-12:00PM| Flat Rate $400.00/day Shift 3 (Overnight): Sunday (Boise); 12:00AM-12:00PM| Flat Rate $400.00/day All candidates will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to FMCSA regulations, and excellent driving skills. CDL candidates will operate a day cab or a sleeper tractor with a 53' trailer, and ensure timely deliveries of products while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Requirements: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) with no manual transmission restriction (E-restriction). Must be at least 21 years of age with no interstate travel restrictions . Clean MVR for at least (5) years - (Personal and Commercial) Active/Current DOT Medical Card Ability to pass FMCSA-mandated background and pre-employment drug screening. Duties: Safely operate day cabs, sleeper tractors, and 53' dry van trailers on regional overnight routes. Conduct and log complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with FMCSA guidelines. Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and strictly adhere to Hours of Service regulations. Follow optimized GPS routes and adjust for traffic, weather, or road closures to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain clear, proactive communication with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or equipment issues. Deliver freight securely and provide professional customer service at all delivery points. Skills & Qualifications: Proven commercial driving experience operating manual transmissions and backing/maneuvering 53' trailers. Strong route navigation abilities using commercial GPS and digital mapping tools. Self-motivated with the discipline to work independently during overnight shifts. Thorough understanding of DOT compliance, vehicle safety checks, and cargo security.
