Location: Bolton, Ontario Hourly Pay: $25.00 – $26.40 (Based on Experience) Shift Start: 3:00 PM Recruitment Agency: RAPID RECRUITMENT Join Our Transportation & Logistics Team! RAPID RECRUITMENT is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and experienced Transportation Dispatcher to join a fast-paced trucking and logistics operation in Bolton, Ontario. We are looking for someone who can effectively coordinate drivers, manage daily transportation operations, solve problems quickly, and ensure excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Dispatch & Fleet Coordination Plan, coordinate, and dispatch daily trucking operations. Assign loads, routes, and delivery schedules to drivers. Monitor drivers and vehicles using GPS tracking systems. Track pickups, deliveries, and shipment progress in real time. Ensure drivers arrive on time for scheduled pickups and deliveries. Coordinate last-minute schedule changes and urgent shipments. Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs. Driver Communication & Support Maintain continuous and professional communication with drivers. Provide clear dispatch instructions, delivery details, and updates. Handle driver delays, breakdowns, traffic issues, and emergencies. Monitor drivers' availability and Hours of Service (HOS). Ensure drivers follow company procedures and safety requirements. Customer Service & Operations Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and delivery updates. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and operational issues. Coordinate with warehouse teams, carriers, and transportation partners. Resolve delivery discrepancies, missed appointments, and scheduling conflicts. Maintain strong professional relationships with drivers and clients. Documentation & Compliance Prepare and verify dispatch paperwork, BOLs, PODs, and delivery documents. Update transportation management systems (TMS) and dispatch records. Maintain accurate daily operational reports. Support compliance with transportation regulations and company safety policies. Report incidents, delays, and operational concerns to management. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years of transportation dispatching experience OR completed education/training in Transportation Dispatching or Logistics. Strong knowledge of trucking and transportation operations. Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple drivers and shipments simultaneously. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and dispatch software. Familiarity with GPS tracking and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Understanding of Ontario transportation regulations and Hours of Service is an asset. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and make quick decisions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Must be available to start shifts at 3:00 PM.
