Warehousing Material Handler I

Overview Highland Industrial Park, Inc. is seeking a Warehousing Material Handler I to support daily warehouse operations by safely retrieving, staging, and loading materials for shipment. This entry-level position plays an important role in maintaining safe, efficient warehouse operations and accurate material handling processes. The Material Handler I works under the direction of warehouse supervisors and team leads while learning warehouse procedures, operating forklifts, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. Key Responsibilities ● Retrieve incoming materials: inspect trailers, unload trucks, stack materials, and secure materials for storage. ● Stage materials for shipment: break down materials, place labels, prepare dunnage, and verify loads. ● Load outbound trucks: inspect trailers, place dunnage, load materials, and verify shipment accuracy. ● Inspect carrier vehicles and spot trailers in designated loading or unloading areas. ● Maintain organized warehouse storage areas, including labeling products and cleaning product areas. ● Follow all warehouse safety procedures, PPE requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications Required ● Ability to safely perform manual material handling tasks ● Ability to follow warehouse safety procedures and operational protocols ● Valid Arkansas driver’s license Preferred ● Forklift Operator Certification or ability to obtain certification ● Valid Arkansas Commercial Driver’s License ● Previous warehouse or material handling experience ● Experience working in industrial warehouse environments ● High School Diploma/GED This role is perfect for individuals eager to grow their expertise in warehouse logistics while actively contributing to a high-energy team environment.
