Warehouseman

Purpose: Perform a variety of functions that include receiving and processing incoming material, preparing material to be shipped, and managing/organizing material within the warehouse. Essential Functions: Prepare and complete orders for shipping according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship) Identify all material to be loaded with BOL Receive, inspect, and process incoming material. Report any damaged material to manager before accepting. Identify all received material with packing slip, tag material, store in designated location Cut material with metal saw per customer requirements Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment including but not limited to forklifts Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times Wear the proper safety equipment Special assignments as assigned by supervisor Required Tools: Metal saw Physical Requirements: Walking or standing 80% of the shift Some lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing required. Lifting up to 50 pounds Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) preferred but not required Must be able to operate forklifts and cranes Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed Must be able to work multiple shifts as needed Read micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices Ability to work in a team environment Basic computer skills Manufacturing experience preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.21 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
