Nathel & NathelPay: $20.00–$23.00 per hour, set by the Teamsters Local 202 Hunts Point Terminal Market Warehouse Worker contract. Contract base rate: $23.00 per hour ($920 per 40-hour week) New to the Hunts Point Market: $20.00 per hour for your first 90 days, then $21.50 per hour until your one-year anniversary, then the full $23.00 base Checkers, Ice Box, and designated Store employees: an extra $1.50 per hour Night differential: an extra $5.00 per hour for all hours worked between 8:00 PM and 4:30 AM Overtime: time and one-half for hours over 8 in a day or 40 in a week Schedule: Full-time, 40-hour work week, five 8-hour days on night and pre-dawn market hours. Overtime is required when volume calls for it (up to 2 extra hours per shift). Saturday, Sunday, and peak-season work may be required (paid per the union contract). Hunts Point is a night market. Union: This is a Teamsters Local 202 bargaining-unit job. Outside hires are welcome. You do not need to be a union member to apply. Union membership, dues, and benefit funds follow the Local 202 contract. New hires complete a 90-day probationary period. About us Nathel & Nathel is a family-owned, fourth-generation fresh produce wholesaler at the Hunts Point Terminal Market. We are always looking for reliable warehouse workers and porters to receive, move, pick, and load fresh produce on our night-market floor. This is physical work in the cold. If you show up on time, work hard, and care about doing the job right, we want to hear from you. Experience helps but is not required. We train strong workers. What you will do Receive and stage incoming product; pick and stage outgoing orders; load and unload trucks and trailers. Move pallets and cases with pallet jacks and, if certified, forklifts. Keep product rotated and organized. Sweep and keep work areas clear and safe. Follow the foreman's direction on priorities, holds, and special orders. Work safely around forklifts, docks, and refrigerated rooms. Report damage or safety issues right away. Help QC and sales when product needs to be pulled, reworked, or held. What we are looking for Reliable attendance and punctuality on a night / pre-dawn schedule. This is the #1 requirement. Willing and able to do physical warehouse work in the cold. Follows directions, works well on a crew, and stays productive without constant supervision. A plus: warehouse, produce, grocery, or construction labor experience; forklift certification; Spanish/English bilingual. Essential functions (with or without reasonable accommodation) Work overnight and early-morning hours on a refrigerated warehouse floor (about 34–36°F) and open docks. Stand and walk most of an 8-hour shift; bend, reach, and climb onto trailers and docks. Repeatedly lift and move cases up to 50 lb; push and pull pallet jacks. Work in an active market with forklifts, noise, and outdoor weather at the dock.
