Responsibilities
• Learn and perform all floor operations and production processes in a hands-on capacity.
• Backfill and support various production roles when necessary to maintain workflow and output.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training new team members as required.
• Assist in determining pay rate settings and increases in alignment with company guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with Operations to prioritize work orders and meet production targets.
• Accurately record labor hours in company software and maintain proper documentation.
• Review and approve time-off requests to avoid conflicts with production schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, demonstrating strong housekeeping skills and supporting line clearance and 5S practices.
• Manage the KANBAN system to ensure operations follow established procedures and material flow is maintained.
• Use QAD or similar systems to create scrap and efficiency reports for management review.
• Process engineering change orders (ECO) as needed to adjust operational run times, setups, and related parameters.
• Determine appropriate work techniques to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Adhere to and enforce safety guidelines and company attendance policies consistently.
• Lead by example and participate in the disciplinary process when necessary, using objective evidence to support decisions.
• Handle conflict resolution in a professional and constructive manner.
• Work overtime when production demands require additional support.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations and team objectives.
Essential Skills
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, machine operation, or trades-related work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics for production and assembly tasks.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers.
• Comfort working with decimals and basic math for measurements and machine settings.
• Experience with general machine operation and production processes.
• Ability to perform inspection tasks, including visual checks and microscope-based inspection when needed.
• Familiarity with general labor and assembly work in a production environment.
• Understanding of maintenance concepts in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for machinery and production equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in a manufacturing setting.
• Capability to work in a cleanroom or controlled environment when required.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime based on production needs.
• Strong commitment to safety, housekeeping, and adherence to company policies.
• Comfort with conflict resolution and participation in disciplinary processes using objective evidence.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with medical device or medical assembly manufacturing environments.
• Background working with equipment and products used in the medical and aerospace industries.
• Exposure to nitinol-related products, fabrication, or finishing processes.
• Familiarity with KANBAN systems and lean manufacturing practices such as 5S.
• Experience using QAD or similar ERP software for scrap and efficiency reporting.
• Ability to process engineering change orders (ECO) and adjust operational parameters.
• Understanding of production workflows in large-scale manufacturing facilities.
