POSITION SUMMARY
Warehouse Worker II reports to the Distribution Supervisor and works closely with the distribution team to coordinate and meet shipping priorities. This team member ensures that all orders are shipped in an accurate, timely, safe, and efficient manner.
The Warehouse Worker II is also responsible for utilizing EOP’s ERP/WMS system to document and meet shipping goals (Enterprise Resource Planning / Warehouse Management System).
This employee is responsible for helping to meet or exceed KPIs for bin accuracy rates and cycle count completion rates for inventory management at the main Kerner warehouse. They additionally support the department’s fulfillment rate KPI for outbound shipments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping and Receiving
- Ensure that sales orders are prepared for shipment, as prioritized by the supervisor.
- Picking, palletizing, and tagging orders
- Wrapping pallets according to procedure
- Receiving and checking-in drivers before product loading starts
- Loading outside carrier vehicles as needed
- Organize time and labor to ensure orders are ready to meet customer pickup schedule
- Fulfill and Receive transfer orders from campus warehouses on arrival, including:
- Loading and unloading transfer orders as needed
- Using RF scanners to receive Transfer Order contents
- Follow bin put away protocols for finish goods received at the warehouse
- Record any other necessary data associated with shipping and receiving onto sales and transfer order paperwork
Inventory and Warehouse Management
- Maintain accurate inventory, including the organization of the warehouse
- Follow replenishment guidelines to ensure adequate stock levels are accessible
- Perform cycle count inventory as directed
- Minimize “out of stocks” by communicating low inventory levels with the Shipping Supervisor
- Control and organize pallet locations of nonproduct (i.e. Shipping supplies)
- Maintain good housekeeping practices, such as clean floors, clear aisles, and clear foot-traffic lanes
- Support occasional warehouse housekeeping tasks, such as trash removal, disposal of wood debris, and the recycling of cardboard waste
Other
- Ensure that all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) are followed
- Support a safe working environment by reporting any unsafe conditions or observed, unsafe conduct.
- Learn all aspects of Distribution including cross-training on Materials Handler functions, including receiving purchase orders, pulling materials for Production, use of all material handling equipment across locations and the utilization of ERP and WMS systems.
- Perform other tasks and projects as directed by the supervisor.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to achieve and maintain powered industrial truck / forklift certification
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and keep pace with warehouse needs
- Ability to take initiative and collaborate with team members
- Ability to get along with people at all levels and consistently promote a positive team environment
- Good math and written communication skills
- Intermediate English language proficiency required. Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred but not required
- Ability to work with software programs and technology involved in shipping, distribution, and warehouse management
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous certification as a forklift / powered industrial truck operator
- Minimum of one year of experience as a forklift/powered industrial truck operator required. Two or more years of forklift experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in GMP environment preferred but not required

GENERAL WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates on a production floor or warehouse environment. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts sometimes in high, or precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, fumes or airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high.
