ConfidentialJob Summary: Position Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 DOE Work Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM; Saturday rotation 8:00 AM -2:00 PM Experience: A minimum of 1-year forklift experience in a LTL logistics environment. California Sierra Express is hiring an experienced Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator for our Compton freight terminal. This is a hands-on freight warehouse position responsible for loading and unloading 53' dry van trailers, receiving inbound shipments, staging outbound freight, and assisting our drivers with timely freight movement. You’ll work with freight of many different sizes and weights, using a forklift and our Freight Management System to receive, verify, label, stage, and move shipments safely and accurately. What We Offer $20.00–$23.00/hour, DOE Consistent Monday–Friday day schedule Paid vacation, sick days, and holidays Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid training Stable company with more than 35 years in airfreight transportation What You’ll Do Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, stage, and stack freight Load and unload 53' dry van trailers Assist company drivers with loading and unloading shipments Receive freight delivered to our dock by outside carriers Verify shipment paperwork and cargo condition Label pallets, boxes, and other freight as required Verify shipment dimensions and weight when needed Stage freight in the correct warehouse area for outbound movement Enter and update shipment information in the Freight Management System Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard Follow company safety, TSA cargo-security, and OSHA requirements Comply with applicable drug and alcohol testing requirements Qualifications Minimum 1 year of forklift experience in an LTL, freight, trucking, or logistics warehouse Experience loading and unloading 53' dry van trailers strongly preferred Basic computer and data-entry skills Ability to safely lift, push, pull, carry, and move freight throughout the shift Strong attention to detail Dependable attendance Ability to work the required Monday–Friday schedule and Saturday rotation Ability to meet company, background-screening, and applicable drug-testing requirements About California Sierra Express California Sierra Express has served the airfreight logistics industry for more than 35 years.
