Warehouse Worker

Warehouse Lead Duties Work as the primary hands-on operator in the warehouse, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping alongside the team every day Set the daily priority order for receiving, put away, picking, packing, and shipping Plan and sequence delivery routes for one driver, and occasionally two, based on order urgency, customer location, and truck capacity Coordinate with sales and the Operations Manager on delivery timing and customer commitments Assign daily work to warehouse team members and confirm it gets finished on time Train new and existing team members on processes, equipment, and safety Own inventory accuracy through cycle counts, bin location maintenance, and prompt correction of discrepancies Inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy and resolve receiving discrepancies with purchasing Verify outbound orders before they ship to protect pick and pack accuracy Operate forklifts safely and efficiently and coach others on proper use Maintain warehouse layout and organization so fast moving parts stay accessible Track and report warehouse metrics to the Operations Manager, including pick accuracy, on time shipping, inventory accuracy, and safety incidents Schedule and document routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues Enforce all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines and correct unsafe behavior on the spot Participate in the daily morning huddle and communicate warehouse status to the team Serve as the point of contact for the warehouse when the Operations Manager is unavailable Recommend process and layout improvements that reduce handling time and errors Qualifications Three or more years of warehouse experience, with at least one year leading or training others preferred Proven knowledge of warehouse operations including receiving, put away, order picking, packing, and shipping Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently Experience planning or sequencing local delivery routes is a plus Experience with an inventory, WMS, or ERP system is strongly preferred, NetSuite experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking, packing, and counting Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Willingness to lead from the floor and carry a full workload alongside the team Ability to hold team members accountable in a respectful and direct way During the interview process you will be asked for a password. This person handles receiving, picking, packing, and shipping every day while also setting the pace and standard for the rest of the team. Core skills include materials handling, forklift operation, and warehouse operations. Premium skills include inventory control, delivery route planning, and leading or training others. The successful candidate will own order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and on time shipping, will plan routes for our delivery driver, and will work closely with the Operations Manager to improve warehouse systems and layout.
