Responsibilities
• Unload, receive, and verify all incoming product from vendors, ensuring accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Stock incoming merchandise in the appropriate locations within the warehouse using barcodes, serial numbers, and other identifiers.
• Pull and prepare customer orders for shipping, following order documentation and using barcodes and serial numbers to ensure accuracy.
• Pack merchandise safely and securely, ensuring that all shipments are properly labeled and prepared for transport.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for all merchandise entering and exiting the warehouse.
• Safely transport merchandise to the shipping bay and load trucks for delivery of products directly to customers.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move, stack, and organize inventory throughout the warehouse.
• Use RF scan guns and RF scanners to track inventory, confirm picks, and support accurate shipping and receiving processes.
• Perform general labor and material handling tasks, including heavy lifting, loading, unloading, and general production duties as needed.
• Keep the warehouse organized, secure, safe, and clean in compliance with company policies as well as state and federal regulations.
• Observe and follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by assisting with warehouse inventory counts and order picking.
• Ensure that customer orders are filled accurately and leave the warehouse in a timely manner and in excellent condition.
Essential Skills
• Experience with packing, picking, loading, unloading, and general warehouse labor.
• Ability to use RF scan guns and RF scanners to manage inventory and confirm orders.
• Proficient material handling skills, including operating pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting, including occasionally lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods while performing warehouse tasks.
• Basic inventory management skills, including maintaining warehouse inventory and supporting shipping and receiving.
• Certification or willingness to obtain certification for Powered Industrial Truck operation, including forklifts.
• Proficient math skills to facilitate accurate and quick assessment of data related to orders and inventory.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing and/or heating products is a plus.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment, including shipping and receiving, order picking, and general production.
• Ability to work safely in compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory tracking.
• Reliability and commitment to completing orders before end of shift when required.
