Role and Responsibilities of Warehouse Trainer:
You will train and evaluate associates on Material Handling Equipment operations and classroom-based instruction. This position helps ensure employees have the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to perform their responsibilities safely while supporting operational goals.
• Provide classroom and hands-on MHE training for associates and vendors.
• Evaluate associate performance using ramp-up forms and create improvement action plans.
• Develop and maintain work reference guides for operational procedures.
• Train and cross-train associates and external workers on job processes and equipment operation.
• Support leadership with operational tasks and additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Certify associates on proper Material Handling Equipment operation.
• Participate in the Year of Business Excellence (YOBE) process.
• Create system logins for associates, including SeeIT and JDA, and ensure understanding of company procedures.
• Communicate company goals, policies, and procedures to teams.
• Identify training requirements and develop solutions to address learning needs.
• Complete Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) observations and participate in Safety Committee activities.
Required Skills and Experience of Warehouse Trainer:
• Relevant technical experience in warehouse operations.
• Experience operating sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks required; experience with stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, clamps, and slip sheet equipment preferred.
• Experience operating scrubbers preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Bilingual fluency in French, Fulani, and Wolof required.
