Duties Preventative Maintenance: Daily or weekly checks, lubricating parts, and inspecting equipment for wear to prevent breakdowns. Cleaning, disinfecting, and organizing work areas to comply with safety standards. Repair Work: Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on material handling equipment (forklifts, generators, small tools). Facility Upkeep: Assisting with general facility maintenance, such as lighting, pump repairs, and sometimes minor structural repairs Safety Compliance: Ensuring all machinery meets safety standards and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Inventory Management: Receiving, scanning, labeling, and organizing stock. Order Fulfillment: Picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment to ensure on-time delivery. Transportation: Delivering orders safely to customers or other facilities in a timely manner. Equipment Operation: Safely operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other machinery to move goods. Experience Technical Skills: Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical systems, mechanical components, and troubleshooting techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges Tools: Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing. Licensure: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferably CDL) Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance logs accurately Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, bend, and kneel, as the job is physically demanding Experience/Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; some positions prefer vocational training or specialized certifications.
