About the role:
The Medical Courier/Warehouse Technician delivers and retrieves patient medication, supplies and equipment, and coordinates the activities of the warehouse, maintaining various inventory and warehousing functions. Shows concern and respect for others by dealing with people in a compassionate, sensitive and responsive manner. Performs a variety of tasks under general supervision. Ensures company’s goals and objectives are aligned with the organization’s broader mission, vision, and driving strategies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate delivery/pick-up time with pharmacy, nursing and patient.
- Gather supplies and equipment for patient orders in preparation for shipment/delivery.
- Document supplies on the Delivery Ticket and maintains a delivery log of activities.
- Transport and deliver medication, supplies and equipment to patients in a safe and secure manner to prevent damage, spoilage or loss.
- Retrieve and return supplies and equipment upon discharge from service.
- Clean and process returned equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional appearance and attitude and serves as a liaison between the patient and other individuals encountered while in the patient’s home.
- Assist with inventory control including receiving and stocking.
- Maintain and tracks pumps and other equipment including cleaning and testing functions.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the warehouse.
- Participate in periodic inventories.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Organize work in an efficient manner and prioritize tasks accurately.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Help to orient, train, and mentor new staff members.
As a Warehouse Technician, you bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A valid and unimpaired standard Driver's License required, with five years driving experience.
- Basic computer skills to effectively communicate with the patient and other members of the healthcare team.
