Delgado Community College needs to fill a Warehouse Technician position with a dedicated and detail oriented individual to support the Property Control department with Shipping and Receiving processes. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Performs basic operation support tasks in Shipping & Receiving warehouse, including inventory handling, clerical, custodial and light mobile equipment operation tasks (frequent forklift use, hand trucks, pallet jacks and driving a fleet vehicle). Receives packages using tracking software, unloads incoming stock/equipment. Assists in tagging new assets in accordance with established property control procedures. Delivers items and copy paper as needed campus wide. Ability to lift 50 plus pounds frequently. Maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse by sweeping, wiping, and taking out trash. Become familiar with safety procedures for warehouse operations. Position-Specific Details : Appointment Type: Probational - This position may be filled as a Probationary Appointment requiring 12-24 months on probation.
