Responsibilities Operate various types of heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and crane systems to load, unload, and transport materials safely across the warehouse. Manage inventory control processes using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 software to track stock levels accurately. Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy loads, stocking shelves, and packing orders while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Execute order picking and packing activities with precision to ensure correct items are prepared for shipping or storage. Support shipping and receiving operations by loading and unloading trucks efficiently and verifying inbound/outbound shipments against documentation. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following safety regulations, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring proper storage of materials. Assist in inventory management tasks including stock counting, cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies to warehouse supervisors. Experience Previous experience working in a warehouse distribution or manufacturing environment is highly preferred. Proven ability to operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, and material handling machinery. Familiarity with inventory management software systems like RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS). Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper PPE use during heavy equipment operation and manual handling tasks. Experience with logistics processes such as shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and stock replenishment is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge or construction experience can be beneficial for understanding equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
