JOB SUMMARY: Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Warehouse Team Leader, evening shift, based at our Toronto facility. Reporting to the Corporate Director, Supply Chain, the incumbent is responsible for organizing, coordinating all production as well as maintenance activities. The Team Leader must support his/her employees in the execution of their tasks and ensure the smooth running of operations. In addition, the incumbent responds to emergency downtime situations and ensures that all preventive maintenance tasks are completed by the maintenance team. Finally, the Team Leader must respect, within the scope of his/her duties, the Occupational Health & Safety Program, current good manufacturing practices and all food safety policies. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain standard operational procedures to meet the objectives in the facility while planning for labour and any necessary training; Ensure the rigorous application of all quality policies, GMP’s and SOP’s; Ensure the proper ongoing sanitation of production equipment and work areas; Work with the Scheduler/Distribution Assistance on the short term daily production plan; Regularly verify production outputs compared to objectives and quickly take actions; Ensure the development and improvement of the activities within the plant to ensure the integrity of the continuous improvement process (PDCA); Oversee preventive maintenance program and follow up with recommendations for equipment operational effectiveness; Implement new strategies to improve operational efficiencies in all areas of the plant; Facilitate team meetings in the department. QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Excellent knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act; 3 -5 years in a food production leadership role; Experience in personnel management (unionized environement an asset) Superior knowledge of manufacturing processes’; Intermediate knowledge of production management; Superior knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP and other food safety programs; Intermediate computer skills (MS Office); Good communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills; Good coaching, listening, and change management abilities; Keen sense of responsibility; Ability to react quickly and demonstrate leadership in emergency situations; Ability to manage several projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
