Warehouse Team Leader

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for a wide variety of duties that include Shipping and Receiving products in a safe and efficient manner; your job will be to verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment by ensuring quality and productivity standards are met. Job Responsibilities Coordinate daily warehouse activities within the assigned team, ensuring tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on time. Arrange shift schedules, check attendance, assign tasks, and allocate resources according to daily workload and operational priorities. Monitor productivity, quality, and turnaround times to achieve team performance targets. Provide onboarding, practical training, and daily coaching to team members, and support employee performance assessments. Ensure employees follow standard operating procedures and company policies, and address deviations promptly. Investigate and resolve operational issues, including order errors, inventory discrepancies, and processing delays. Escalate unresolved issues to the Warehouse Supervisor and follow up through resolution. Coordinate with other warehouse teams, carriers, and relevant support departments to maintain smooth workflows and timely handoffs. Maintain 6S standards and a clean, organized, and safe work area. Ensure warehouse equipment is operated correctly, maintained, and charged as required. Maintain accurate operational records, report daily progress and outstanding issues to the Warehouse Supervisor, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality. Support the Warehouse Supervisor with daily operations, people management, and other assigned duties. The Team Leader is responsible for overall team performance and coordination. The Deputy Team Leader supports planning and supervision and manages assigned daily activities. Qualifications Based in Milton or the surrounding area, with a reliable means of commuting to the warehouse and arriving on time for scheduled shifts. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is required. English sufficient for everyday workplace communication is required; advanced fluency is not necessary. A minimum of 2 years of experience in overseas warehouse or fulfillment center operations is required. Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is required for the Team Leader role. For the Deputy Team Leader role, experience coordinating tasks or training colleagues is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse processes relevant to the assigned team, such as receiving, putaway, inventory control, picking, packing, returns, or shipping. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate team members, and resolve routine operational issues. Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office. Dependable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility, consistent attendance, and an interest in a long-term role. A practical, team-oriented approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a busy warehouse environment.
