Warehouse Team Lead
BRPThe Outbound Team Lead is responsible for leading the daily execution of outbound warehouse operations, including Parcel, LTL, Powersports, and Evinrude shipments. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving performance in Safety, Quality, Service, and Productivity while supporting a team of Outbound Operators to achieve operational objectives and customer service commitments. The Team Lead is expected to actively work alongside the team, providing direction, coaching, and operational support throughout the shift. The Team Lead is expected to lead with accountability, and a strong sense of teamwork, fostering a positive and respectful work environment while driving results and supporting both operational objectives and employee development. YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Lead and coordinate the daily activities of Outbound Operators to ensure accurate and timely shipment of Parcel & LTL orders for our Powersports and Evinrude customers. Promote and maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Drive performance against established KPIs related to Safety, Quality, Service, and Productivity. Lead labor resources and staffing based on daily workload, priorities, and service requirements to achieve operational objectives. Monitor workflow throughout the shift and adjust priorities as needed to meet customer commitments and service level expectations. Actively participate in outbound operations and provide hands-on support to the team to ensure daily goals are achieved. Support the onboarding, training, and cross-training of new and existing team members. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support to help employees meet performance expectations and develop their skills. Conduct regular communication with team members regarding operational priorities, performance expectations, and process updates. to requests from support teams including Inventory Control, Transportation, Customer Service, Quality, and other operational departments. Identify operational issues, recommend corrective actions, and escalate concerns when necessary. Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, inventory control processes, and quality requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving safety, service, quality, and operational efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in distribution, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or transportation operations. Previous experience leading or coordinating a team in an operational environment preferred. Strong understanding of shipping operations, including Parcel and LTL processes. Demonstrated ability to coach, train and motivate employees. Effective and professional communication. Strong organizational, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Stakeholder management and teamwork skills. Required to be certified in Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Additional details: Position requires current work authorization.
