JOB SUMMARY: The Warehouse Supervisor for Second Shift leads daily warehouse operations and frontline employees to ensure that raw materials, kits, and customer-furnished equipment (CFE) are received, stored, picked, staged, and delivered accurately and efficiently to support production. The supervisor coordinates daily workloads and material movement, maintains inventory accuracy, reinforces safety and quality requirements, and ensures adherence to standard work. The Warehouse Supervisor works closely with the Warehouse & Receiving Manager, Warehouse CFE & Shipping Manager, and Production, Purchasing, and Planning teams to anticipate material needs, resolve inventory discrepancies, and prevent material-related production delays. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise daily warehouse operations, including material receiving, storage, picking, staging, transfers, and delivery to production areas. Assign daily workloads and priorities to warehouse personnel based on production schedules and material requirements. Provide hands-on directions, coaching, training, and support to warehouse employees. Monitor employee performance, attendance, productivity, and adherence to established procedures, escalating concerns as needed. Ensure raw materials, kits, and CFE are accurately received, verified, labeled, stored, and entered into the appropriate system. Coordinate material staging and delivery to production areas to support build schedules and minimize downtime. Monitor material shortages and communicate issues promptly to warehouse leadership, Production, Planning, and Purchasing as appropriate. Ensure that inventory transactions, material transfers, and material issues are completed accurately and on time. Support cycle-count activities, research inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions as directed. Verify inventory locations and maintain accurate material identification and organization throughout the warehouse. Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse conditions in accordance with 5S standards. Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and proper material-handling practices. Conduct routine safety observations and immediately address or escalate unsafe conditions. Ensure proper operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment by authorized personnel. Reinforce established standard work and warehouse procedures to ensure consistency and accountability. Monitor receiving accuracy, material-movement accuracy, staging readiness, and turnaround times throughout the shift. Identify and support Lean and continuous-improvement opportunities to improve material flow, reduce waste, and increase warehouse efficiency. Use the Sage ERP/WMS to maintain inventory visibility, transaction accuracy, and operational reporting. Communicate shift priorities, material concerns, staffing needs, and operational issues to the Warehouse & Receiving Manager.
