GENERAL FUNCTION 

 

Supervises and coordinates activities of all warehouse operations and functional processes within the department. This position involves the planning, directing, and coordination of all warehousing activities. Must keep product moving smoothly, accurately, and efficiently.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Reconcile inventory between physical inventory and SAP ERP software.
  • Analyze current stock levels to identify potential shortages or excesses of assets and determine appropriate action.
  • Assist distribution management personnel in performing daily movement activities of inventories, including but not limited to preparing inventory reports, backlogs report and planned demand reports for proper implementation of FIFO dispatching of products.
  • Hands on distribution coordination and personnel supervisor.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain interpersonal relations and have excellent customer service skills with all departments. 
  • Apart from these compulsory conditions, this position requires the ability to handle multi-tasking and high levels of accuracy and the capacity to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Coordinate with truck drivers and ensure that they are following safety procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining excellent housekeeping of work area
  • Ability to work overtime, 12 hour shifts and weekends when necessary 
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule in support of warehouse changes
  • Supervise activities of warehouse workers
  • Maintain efficient utilization of manpower through proper scheduling and training 
  • Requires the ability to handle multi-tasking and high levels of accuracy and the capacity to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to meet production levels
  • Responsible for observing all warehouse standard operating procedures and safety policies
  • Responsible for teamwork communication with production operators and supervisors
  • Must wear appropriate PPE at all times
  • Participate in training programs to enhance environmental and safety performance
  • Accomplishes warehouse supervisory objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
  • Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items.
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.

  • Physical dexterity:  lifting, bending, squatting, reaching, etc.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in truck load and LTL movements. 
  • Must possess forklift operator certification or be able to obtain one
  • Strong knowledge of SAP formats and systems.
  • Knowledge of trucking operations and incoterms.
  • Strong computer skills; including but not limited to MS Office Suite.
