Job Summary A Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory, while ensuring compliance with food safety standards like Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and First-In, First-Out (FIFO) rotation. Key responsibilities include leading and training a warehouse team, managing equipment, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, performing administrative tasks, and collaborating with production and logistics to ensure product flow and efficiency. Education: High School Diploma or GED: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree: Preferred in fields like logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related business area. Key Experience Requirements Warehouse Operations: Several years of direct experience in warehouse environments. Leadership Experience: At least 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Inventory Management: Oversee ongoing inventory control, including product rotation using FIFO, managing inventory discrepancies, and conducting yearly inventory counts. Food Safety & Quality: Ensure adherence to GMP and other food safety standards in all warehousing operations, including proper storage and handling of products. Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Monitor and oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring optimal operating levels and the presence of safety guards. Communication & Collaboration: Coordinate with production, logistics, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow, verify shortages, and address any operational issues.
