Work Schedule Hours: Generally Monday through Friday, as needed to perform duties of the job.
Position Overview: The Warehouse supervisor will be responsible to plan, organize, supervise and participate in the operations and activities of the District Warehouse. Duties of the warehouse supervisor will include training, assisting, supervision and evaluation of assigned staff.
Important Job Functions:
• Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory
• Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads and schedules to warehouse workers
• Receive, unpack, pack, load, issue, store and deliver materials, such as textbooks, supplies, or equipment; complete packing slips for shipments as assigned
• Route, schedule, pack and prepare orders for delivery including loading of vehicles; schedule and oversee deliveries and pickups
• Supervise the processing of requisitions and requests invoices for reimbursements of warehouse codes; complete the requisitions for needed materials to ensure adequate stock levels
• Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of items in the warehouse, file records, and supervise the assembly of inventory printouts and catalogs as required
• Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary to ensure proper routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Operation of a forklift and other assigned vehicles and equipment
• Ability to plan, organize, supervise, and participate in the operations and activities of the District Warehouse
• Train, supervise and evaluate warehouse personnel
• Knowledge of warehouse options, procedures, equipment, and terminology
