Responsibilities Supervise warehouse distribution activities, ensuring timely and accurate shipping and receiving of goods Lead and manage warehouse team members, fostering a positive team environment and promoting safety compliance Oversee inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock levels and facilitate efficient order fulfillment Operate and coordinate the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners for safe movement of goods Implement process improvements to streamline warehouse operations, reduce waste, and enhance productivity Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and ensure all safety protocols are followed during warehouse activities Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize distribution center operations and support overall supply chain efficiency Audit’s all incoming and outgoing shipments Skills Extensive experience in warehouse management, distribution center operations, and inventory control systems Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software. Strong team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with staff at all levels Knowledge of materials handling equipment operation including forklifts, heavy lifting techniques, and OSHAs safety standards Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as lean management to enhance workflow efficiency Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, logistics coordination, and distribution practices Excellent managerial communication skills to facilitate clear instructions, performance feedback, and safety training Education Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED Preferred Requirements Associate degree in: Business Administration Supply Chain Management Logistics Operations Management Preferred Certifications OSHA Safety Training Forklift Certification APICS/ASCM Supply Chain Certifications Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training Experience Requirements Minimum Experience 3-5 years of warehouse or distribution center experience Supervisory Experience 1-3 years of experience leading teams, coordinating work assignments, and managing employee performance Preferred Experience Inventory control and cycle counting Shipping and receiving operations ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Workforce scheduling and labor planning Safety compliance and accident investigation Continuous improvement initiatives Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and team-building skills Effective communication and conflict-resolution abilities Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management Ability to analyze data and prepare reports Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with WMS and ERP systems Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Join us as a Warehouse Supervisor where your leadership will energize our operations!
