Warehouse Supervisor

American Industrial Supply is seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Supervisor who is responsible, timely and organized. We are looking for someone that can lead employees to meet and exceed customers’ expectations. We are a supplier of industrial pipe, valves and fittings throughout the tristate area. Experience, Skills and Abilities for Warehouse Supervisor: · Prior Dispatch and Warehouse experience is preferred. · Strong computer skills · Leadership skills · Strong customer service skills · Prior experience overseeing employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Warehouse Supervisor: Work closely with the warehouse manager to ensure all paperwork is completed correctly. Select specific trucks for each route based on volume and equipment availability. Oversee employees while enforcing safety policies. Must work within the computer system to ship orders as well as receive material then ship orders. Handle driver schedule weekly. Ensure deliveries go out in a timely manner. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with CSR’s, drivers and warehouse manager. Must be comfortable with being on feet all day in fast-paced environment. Responsible for giving drivers complete and accurate directions for delivery to customers’ premises or job site(s). Responsible for ensuring that all assigned paperwork is complete, accurate, timely and up to date. Ensures drivers and warehouse personnel are properly trained and their skills are developed to fulfill the goals of American Industrial Supply. Must be willing to help out in any warehouse and/or driver tasks. All warehouse employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Required Skills and Abilities: · Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. · Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. · Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work load in a fast-paced environment. · Ability to work independently or as part of a team depending on the needs of the operation. · Strong problem solving/decision making skills with the ability to think outside of the box when necessary to do so for business advantage.
